Twin Farms, Vermont

Hotel. Set in the rolling hills of the Vermont country-side, Twin Farms is the perfect place for a tranquil get-a-way. The property is located over 300 acres of fields, forests, gardens, and a pond that was once the home of novelist Sinclair Lewis and his wife Dorothy Thompson. The original farmhouse is the focal point of the inn and available to stay in, and is far from the average “farmhouse”. Stepping into a guest room suddenly takes you from a land of open air country to a luxuriously comfortable setting. Displaying an obvious deviation from the cliché farm image, rooms are adorned with a blend of antiques and modern artwork from Roy Lichtenstein and David Hockney. There is plenty of terrain with gorgeous views to explore on the inn’s encompassing area while fly-fishing, canoeing, hiking, or simply enjoying a glass of wine.

Wine. The Twin Farms wine cellar holds 26,000 bottles of wine including 1,700 various labels from around the world. While Californian and French wines are prominent in the cellar, wines from Italy, Spain, Australia, Germany, and Oregon can also be found. If the regular list is not fitting for the occasion, A Premier List is also available that feature Dom Perignon, Ornellaia, Penfolds
Grange, Chateau Latour, Haut-Brion, Mouton-Rothschild and David Arthur Elevation 1147.

Dining. Who needs a restaurant when your own personal chef is available? Before arriving at Twin Farms, guests are asked to fill out a survery so renowned Chef Neil Wigglesworth can literally cater to their wants and needs. Dinner is served nightly at eight o’clock in the dining room of the Main House, and is prepared by Wigglesworth and his elite culinary team using only the finest recipes and top quality ingredients from local providers.
